The principle of optical reflection is that due to the difference in refractive index between glass and air, light is refracted after hitting the glass surface, and then reflected on the other side of the glass. The reflected light returns to the side where the light entered. The receiver of the instrument receives the refracted light and multiplies it by the appropriate factor to obtain the thickness of the glass.

For glass that cannot be measured with ordinary tools or cannot be used, it can be measured with an insulating glass thickness gauge. Insulating glass thickness gauges made by the principle of optical reflection can be divided into glass thickness gauges with scale readings and digital glass thickness gauges. 1. Selection of insulating glass thickness gauge

There are two types of glass thickness gauges, LS201 and LS200. It can measure the thickness of one side of glass. LS200 adopts scale reading, and insulating glass thickness gauge LS201 adopts digital display reading.

2. The use of insulating glass thickness gauge LS201

The glass thickness gauge is suitable for measuring: single-layer glass, insulating glass, three-glass two-chamber, laminated glass, Low-E glass, float glass, etc. glass-like. The use of digital glass thickness gauge LS201;

(1) In shutdown state, long press the power button to enter the selection interface;

(2) Short press the middle selection key to select Chinese or English. After confirmation, enter the historical data query interface;

(3) In the measurement interface, long press the middle selection key to enter the selection mode. There are automatic and manual measurement modes to choose from, users can set according to their needs;

(4) Place the instrument on one side of the glass, press the measurement key, and display the measurement results. The 1 and 2 below the instrument represent the two measurements.
